Art 1 Fish Sculptures

6th graders have been busy making giant fish sculptures in teams that are decorating the halls here at Good Hope. Sculpture is sometimes hard for teachers to integrate into the classroom without massive amounts of space and without powertools, wood, metal, etc. So, I decided to make 3 dimensional paper sculptures that we could display rather than store (My storage space is getting seriously limited)! Some students went with characters from movies (Nemo!) and others chose to do anatomically accurate fish, whereas others created their own mythical fish (We actually have a Llamafish!) Teachers and Students are all excited about the colorful displays "swimming" through the hallways:) Here are a few pictures of just some of the fish. I'll take more pics to post soon!
